Projects
The projects I have worked on over the years describe my professional path better than any list of skills.
Some are entrepreneurial initiatives, while others come from professional or volunteer activities. Together, they show how much my role and responsibilities have changed over time.
Casino2k
Casino2k is the project I have worked on for the longest time and the one in which I have taken on the widest range of roles over the years.
I founded it together with my partners, starting from our own experience as users of the online gaming sector at a time when the market was far less regulated and transparent than it is today.
What began as an editorial project developed into a platform combining content, tools, a forum, a community and ongoing relationships with operators and industry professionals.
In the early stages I worked directly on development, SEO, content and website management.
As co-founder and CTO, I oversee the technology side, continue to work on technical SEO and maintain direct relationships with partners, operators and the media.
Following the same project for many years has allowed me to see its technology, product, market and organisation evolve.
I enjoy attending conferences and events: meeting partners and operators in person remains an important part of the work.
Over the years, Casino2k has also developed an active role in user support through its public forum, which is also used to help mediate disputes between players and operators.
In 2025, Casino2k received the EGR Italy Award for Casino Affiliate of the Year.
It remains the project where I run the largest number of tests, both technical and organisational.
Mondo Servizi Web
Mondo Servizi Web is the business I founded at the beginning of my professional career in the internet industry.
It started as a web agency, working on websites, e-commerce, development and SEO.
Over the years it has allowed me to work directly with companies, professionals and organisations with very different requirements, often extending well beyond the simple creation of a website.
Working with external clients also taught me something very simple: a solution can be technically correct and still be unsuitable for the people who have to use and maintain it.
Today the direction is more specialised: technology consulting, infrastructure, automation and support for digital projects.
DoctorSEO
DoctorSEO grew out of the more specialist SEO side of my career.
For years it was the main reference point for my SEO consulting work.
The idea is to gradually turn it into a place where I can document tests, real cases and observations about search.
I am particularly interested in technical and experimental SEO, including the way search is changing with AI-based systems.
DoctorSEO remains connected both to my professional history and to my interest in continuing to experiment with search.
100×100 Anima Trail
100×100 Anima Trail is the project furthest removed from my corporate work, but it occupies an important part of my time.
I am vice president of the association and take an active role in its management and in organising events.
Trail running is a personal passion, but the work within the association goes far beyond the sporting activity itself.
Organising a race means coordinating volunteers, athletes, suppliers, registrations, logistics and many activities that all have to come together at the same time.
Over the past few years I have also worked extensively on digitising the association to make volunteers’ work easier.
When people are giving their time voluntarily, every hour saved on unnecessary work matters.
I have simplified several information flows, automated repetitive activities and introduced tools for managing the association and its events.
It is an environment where technology has to adapt to people, not the other way around.
It is also a good test for any digital solution: limited resources, widely varying technical skills and very little tolerance for complicated tools.
The satisfaction of members, volunteers and athletes taking part in the races is what ultimately makes the work dedicated to the association worthwhile.
A common thread
These projects are very different, but in all of them I start with the problem before choosing tools and technology.
When a simpler solution is enough, I prefer it.
