Professional experience

My background starts in computer science, but from the beginning it has been closely connected with operational management, web development and organisational responsibilities.

Rather than seeing my experience as a sequence of separate roles, I see it as a continuous path: from my first management responsibilities to building and running digital projects, and eventually to the predominantly technical and organisational work I do today.

Education and early management experience

I graduated in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

While at university I also worked as a Manager and Assistant Store Manager at McDonald’s Italy. It was my first practical experience of managing people, shifts and day-to-day operations.

It was far removed from technology, but many of the things I learned there — particularly prioritisation and responsibility towards a team — have remained useful in later roles.

Mondo Servizi Web

I founded Mondo Servizi Web as a business focused on internet projects and digital consulting.

Initially, I worked on websites, applications, e-commerce, SEO and web marketing. Over time, technology and infrastructure became increasingly important.

Mondo Servizi Web gave me the opportunity to work directly with companies and professionals, often dealing with requirements very different from those of my own projects.

Today its direction is less that of a traditional web agency and more focused on technology consulting, infrastructure, automation and project management.

Casino2k and STS Web Consulting

I am co-founder of Casino2k and a partner in STS Web Consulting, the company behind the project.

Casino2k is the professional project I have worked on for the longest time and the one in which my role has changed the most.

In the early stages I worked directly on development, SEO, content and website management.

As the project grew, my role expanded: technology and organisation became central, while I continued to work on technical SEO and relationships with partners, operators and the media.

As CTO, I coordinate the company’s technology function and remain directly involved in a significant part of the technical work.

An important part of the role is connecting product and business requirements with what is technically feasible.

Relationships with partners and operators are also a significant part of my work. I enjoy attending conferences and events because they provide an opportunity to meet in person the people we normally interact with through calls and online tools. Many collaborations work better when there is also a direct human relationship.

iGaming also brings technical and regulatory constraints that make service continuity, security and data management very concrete concerns.

SEO and digital marketing

SEO was one of the main areas of my professional work for many years.

I have worked on technical SEO, information architecture, analysis and content across both Italian and international projects.

SEO is no longer the centre of my role, but I still enjoy working on it, especially on the technical and experimental side.

Infrastructure, cloud and technical coordination

In recent years, infrastructure has become an increasingly important part of my work.

I work directly with servers, Google Cloud Platform, development and production environments, deployment, CI/CD and monitoring.

Alongside the operational work, I coordinate priorities, developers and suppliers and keep track of dependencies and technical risks.

Project management

Technical responsibilities led me almost inevitably towards project management.

In practice, this means working with incomplete requirements, shifting priorities and dependencies that are not always visible at the outset.

I continue to develop my skills in this area, and PMP certification is my next objective.

Artificial intelligence and automation

Artificial intelligence has become part of my work through automation, software development and information analysis.

I have also studied this area formally through an advanced programme as an AI Project Manager at Cefriel.

I am interested in understanding which activities are worth automating and which controls should remain in place.

Security and privacy

Cybersecurity has been an area of personal interest and study for many years.

Managing platforms and infrastructure directly has also led me to work on system security and data protection.

In recent years I have been paying particular attention to AI-related security issues: data access, credentials, prompt injection and agents capable of performing actions.

Digital transformation in the non-profit sector

Some of my more recent experience also comes from volunteering.

As vice president of 100×100 Anima Trail, I am involved in managing a large amateur sports association dedicated to trail running.

Over the past few years I have worked on digitising several internal processes to reduce manual work for volunteers.

We have automated some activities and simplified the management of information used for the association and its events.

It is a very different environment from a company: volunteers’ time is a resource that needs to be protected, and tools have to be easy to use.

Today

Today my role combines CTO responsibilities, technical coordination, founder activities and relationships with partners and operators.

I still work directly on systems and technical SEO, although an increasing part of my time is dedicated to coordination, project decisions and external relationships.
